Computer can not shutdown

Computer can not shutdown

Often when we finished using the computer, there are suddenly unable to shutdown the computer or the computer does not want to die. What is certain laymen like us are often overwhelmed to deal with such events. When trying to shutdown, log off or restart a Windows-based computer that does not give a response and often the shutdown process runs only half way and stops responding so that the computer is not really dead. This means you can not shutdown, log off and restart.
There are several possibilities that make this condition occurs, such as,

1. Check the settings REGEDIT
  • Click the Start Menu -> Run -> type regedit
  • Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Control Panel -> Desktop
  • Double click on PowerOffActive and change its value to 1

2. If the situation remains the same as before, then try to check out some possibilities as follows;
  • This problem is generally due to Fast Shutdown registry is active. Solution: try to open the registry and disable Fast Shutdown.
  • Settings in the BIOS. Try to love again from the BIOS default settings.
  • This behavior often occurs because you used to install some antivirus in a single computer, especially for example the version of Norton Antivirus 2003 ccApp.exe first using the program. Solution: You should be especially selective use antivirus installed more than one antivirus at a time in one computer, it is quite vulnerable. It could actually happen within your computer antivirus war. The way out is to uninstall and reinstall the antivirus.
  • There are still programs that are running. Solution; Especially on Windows XP if there are still programs that have not been closed, typically a computer waiting for us to close it before she shut down.
  • Device drivers are incompatible, damaged, or conflicts between them. Solution: Check the device driver you may have a new pair.
  • There was an error on the video adapter IRQ in real mode. Solution: replace the VGA card.
  • This problem also occurs on a computer that supports Advanced Power Management (APM). By default, this feature is not enabled in Windows XP. If the BIOS on your computer is set for APM, and you upgrade to Windows XP, you receive this message when you shutdown the computer, and then the computer stops responding.

* For solutions to address the problem of the Advanced Power Management (APM), as follows;
  • Click [Start], and again click [Control Panel].
  • In the Control Panel, click [Performance and Maintenance], then click [Power Options].
  • Click on the tab [APM].
  • Check the [Enable Advanced Power Management Support] then click [OK].

Finally over, may be useful :)
